Hi there, and welcome to my site-

I am a BAFTA winning children’s song-writer, a composer, string arranger, pop songwriter and violinist. My music and songs have been featured in a wide array of international ad campaigns, TV shows and movies. I collaborate with many talented producers, singers, composers and writers in various musical styles. I use Logic X and specialise in strings and vocal production.

I was classically trained on piano, violin and recorder. I played in a signed band for six years and toured all over the UK and USA. I also spent several years as a primary school music teacher and many years giving private music lessons.

As a string arranger and player I have worked with multi-million selling artists Nick Cave and Caro Emerald, as well as The Stereo MC’s, FINK, Orbital, The 88, Rubylux, Naomi Bedford, HoneyRyder, Jason Nevins, DJ Format and Del Amitri.

My songs have been used on many TV shows including Stranger Things, Black Mirror, Desperate Housewives, E!, Shameless, Showtime,  Greys Anatomy, Degrassi, Men In Trees, The Ghost Whisperer, South of Nowhere, MTV, Wimbledon, Touch The Wall, Haze and the trailers for Disney’s Cars2 and Assassins Creed. I have had a number of releases in Japan and Europe, including a No 1 song for X-factor winner KATO in Belgium and the song for the first ever 360 degree interactive video on Youtube.

I am currently working mostly in Children’s TV. I have just finished working on series 2 of Tee and Mo and am continuing work on series 3 of Jojo and Grangran and series 2 of Pip and Posy. 2022 also saw the release of my co-authored YA fiction novel ‘The Songs You’ve Never Heard’ and it’s accompanying album of songs.

In 2021 I wrote the theme music and co-wrote the score for Pip and Posy, a new 52 part series, based on the books by Axel Scheffler, for Sky & Milkshake made by BAFTA winning Magic Light Pictures. In 2020 I wrote the theme song and co-wrote score for Jojo and Grangran, a 44 part animated series for CBeebies which won the Broadcast Award for Best Pre-School Programme in 2021.

Other Children’s TV work includes all songs for BBC Scotland production, Molly and Mack; Songs and score for CBeebies show Tee & Mo with BAFTA winning animation company Plugin Media; Scoring for 52 part CBeebies Worldwide series, Kit and Pup; Songs for CBeebies in house production Teeny, Tiny Creatures, Feeling Better and Almost Never. I have also written songs for Sesame Street and a Sesame Street Special ‘The Monster at the End of The Story’, Milkshake TV, Tiny Pop and various children’s animations.

The animated children’s song  ‘Are we ready to go?’ won a 2016 award at the international festival Prix Jeunesse, and the animated song 'Come on, Get Up' received a 2016 BAFTA nomination for best children's shortform. In December 2019 the animated song ‘Help Our Little World’ co-written with Joss Peach and Dominic Minns won the Children’s BAFTA for best short-form. In 2022 Pip and Posy won Best pre-school series at the British Broadcast Awards and the Tee and Mo muiscal ‘Big boy Boots has been nominated for another Prix Jeunesse.
