I am a string arranger, a composer, a violin and viola player and a performer. Much of my string recording is done from my Logic studio at home in Brighton, UK via ftp.  Getting into the studio to write and record string arrangements gives me huge satisfaction and joy. For me strings can add romance, atmosphere, class, passion, heart-breaking sadness or up-lifting celebration...

I multi-layer tracks on violin, viola and cello to create a rich orchestral sound at the fraction of the price of a real orchestra. I'll also give pretty much any musical style a go- Pop, folk, bluegrass, gypsy, hip-hop- you name it!

I was asked to record strings for the album of super-cool Dutch diva before anyone had heard of her. I loved the music and got involved immediately.

Her album 'Deleted Scenes From the Cutting Room Floor' was Number 1 in Holland for more than 30 weeks and has broken all records! It has now sold over 1.4 million copies. One of the songs that features my strings, 'Riviera Life' was made Radio 2 record of the week, summer 2011.

I went on to arrange strings for her follow up 'The Shocking Miss Emerald' and am currently working on album 3.

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds

I have been extremely honoured to work with one of the most creative and talented artists of our time. I arranged a string quintet and played violin on the opening shows of the "Push The Sky Away" tour. Since then I have gone on to do some studio recording with Nick and Warren Ellis for several movies they have scored and the latest album "The Skeleton Tree". The recording of this album was filmed at Air Studios in London and became part of the highly acclaimed film "One More Time With Feeling".
